Former Zynga Executive Turns Health Care Into a Game

By Rally Staff | February 2, 2015

There are plenty of health care products on the market today that will tell you how many steps you took or whether you got a good night's sleep. What's missing are tools to make sense of the data and take action, Rally HealthSM president and COO David Ko told Re/code in an interview.

“We try to make [health care] more consumer friendly and more engaging, less of a chore,” said Ko, a former Zynga and Yahoo executive. "We can make a true difference."

The Re/code story details how Rally works.

"Rally’s tools, which typically show up as the wellness portion of a company’s or insurer’s website, create a health score, known as one’s Rally Age, and offer suggestions that Ko says can help people improve their scores. In addition, it rewards users with 'coins' that can be exchanged for physical goods."
