Director, Privacy and Business Affairs

Rally Health is looking for an experienced, solutions­ driven professional with a strong interest and experience in privacy issues and compliance.  The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a team-player, and ready to work on a diverse range of privacy, legal, and business matters.

 In this role, you will:


  • Work with our privacy team to manage privacy across Rally Health’s products, offices, and business partners;
  • Act as a trusted and business­oriented partner for our experienced and energetic product, marketing, operational, and security teams;
  • Analyze new products and features from a privacy perspective and advise product owners;
  • Work with consumer support team and account managers on privacy matters to support brand management;
  • Develop solutions to internal and external questions on a wide range of privacy matters;
  • Bolster Rally’s compliance initiatives and ensure compliance with regulations such as HIPAA, FTC regulation, state data breach laws, international privacy laws, and privacy principles;
  • Review and revise contracts and Business Associate Agreements to protect data rights and ensure information security and safeguards; and
  • Support corporate transactions and strategic initiatives.


The candidate who excels in this position will have an integral role in the privacy team and the company, with opportunities for career advancement.

Prior experience with healthcare and technology issues is highly desired and prior experience with startups, while not necessary, is a bonus.



  • JD, MBA, MPH, MPA, MPP, or similar graduate degree


  • At least 3-5 years experience practicing at a major law firm, consulting firm, in-house, government, non-profit, or advocacy work


  • Ability to juggle multiple, time-sensitive projects


  • Common sense and strong judgment


  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a collaborator and teacher as opposed to giving directives


  • Enthusiasm for Rally Health’s mission to help transform the healthcare industry


  • Dedication to valuing and protecting privacy


  • Sense of humor is a must
