Senior Information Security Engineer (Cloud Security)

Join Rally as a Senior Security Engineer. You will focus on Vulnerability and Exposure Management for our AWS cloud environment. The Security Strategy Team is focused on assisting the CISO in designing and maintaining and Security Program for Rally. Our main responsibilities are Security Governance (including Policy and Compliance), Risk Management, Security Awareness & Engagement, and Vulnerability and Configuration Management. We are a diverse team of Security Strategy Analysts and Engineers who work together towards our mission. You will report to the Director of Security.

You Will:

  • You will develop security requirements for cloud systems and environments, drawing from industry best practices and frameworks such as HITRUST and NIST 
  • You will develop secure configuration baselines/guidelines and processes (including tooling) to monitor configuration compliance
  • You will assess new tools/vendors for security risk
  • You will help with Vulnerability Management - configuring scans, engaging with system owners for resolution, processing false-positives and risk acceptance

You Have:

  • 4 +years information security or engineering experience or equivalent.
  • 2+ years experience in a security-related role in a cloud-based environment (preferably AWS)
  • 2+ years Industry experience working with either Windows platforms, Linux platforms from a system administration, secure configuration and vulnerability management perspective.
  • Security certifications encouraged.
  • 2+ years of experience with secure configuration management preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with vulnerability management in cloud-based environments preferred
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, especially with AWS services helpful.
  • Experience with container-based environments (especially Kubernetes, Docker) strongly preferred
  • Experience securing environments that rely on modern deployment orchestration, automation (Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, etc) preferred.
  • Experience performing threat modeling and design reviews to assess security effects and requirements for introduction of new technologies.
