About the Team:

In this role you will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable (AP) department with two direct reports.  

Your day to day: 

Responsibilities will include supervising staff to meet the departmental goals of ensuring proper and timely payment of vendor invoices and employee expense reports, monthly closing of the AP subledger, and proper record keeping of credit card transaction activities.

Your core responsibilities: 

  • Manage the AP team in order to receive, enter, process, and pay vendor invoices.  Ensure invoices are appropriately coded and approved prior to payment.
  • Oversee the weekly ACH, wire, and check payment process to pay vendors within specified payment terms.
  • Review expense reports to ensure compliance with travel and expense guidelines to reimburse employees on a timely basis.
  • Review and manage the company credit card platform, record credit card transactions in the general ledger, and reconcile month-end general ledger balances to statement activity.
  • Research and respond timely to vendor and employee questions on vendor invoices and expense reports. 
  • Manage the monthly closing of the accounts payable subledger in accordance with monthly close deadlines including reconciliation of related accounts payable accounts.

What you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience working in an accounting operations role including accounts payable.
  • At least three to five years supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels through Company organization.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently

Preferred :

  • Accounting degree preferred
  • NetSuite and Concur system experience preferred
