Payroll Specialist

Rally Health is looking for a Payroll Specialist to support the day-to-day functions of the Payroll Department. You will assist the Payroll Manager and Senior Manager, Accounting with all aspects of the bi-weekly payrolls for 1,500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now along with other payroll related projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and review timesheets, work with supervisors to approve delinquent timesheets.

  • Assist with calculation and mailing of terminated employee final paychecks.

  • Assist with recording of manual checks within the payroll system for various external compensation programs such as incentives, rewards, stock transactions, etc.

  • Assist with updating benefit elections and leave of absence pay for payroll processing as required.

  • Assist with recording and uploading of bonus payments and expense reimbursements.

  • Assist with the processing of Child Support and Wage Garnishments.

  • Upload federal, state and local tax notices to ADP Smart Compliance for research by our payroll provider.

  • Support and collaborate with Benefits, HRIS, Human Resources and Accounting teams on payroll, deduction and account reconciliation issues.

  • Research employee questions on payroll related issues.

  • Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, as necessary.

Desired Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of high-volume payroll processing experience for both exempt and non-exempt employees in a multi-state environment.

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred and proficient in excel.

  • Bachelor’s degree a plus.

  • The ability to be flexible/adaptable to a changing and unpredictable workflow.

  • Possess a team first attitude and also be able to work independently.

  • Proven accurate work and attention to detail along with experience handling confidential information.

  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication, and social skills.
