As a Client Release Manager at Rally, you will work with a team of client implementation project managers and other internal partners to track and ensure readiness of client configurations for monthly release. You are highly motivated with great attention to detail and a real passion for quality delivery. You will help us build and implement robust launch processes, including: developing, tracking and reporting on launch metrics. Your strong communication skills enable you to interact directly with internal and external partners, ensuring that requirements are understood, risks are identified and mitigated. In this highly visible role, Client Release Managers work cross-functionally within the organization and collaborate with external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a repeatable monthly client launch process

  • You will facilitate cross-department coordination of release management functions (document and maintain release processes)

  • Manage risks and problem solve that affect release scope, schedule, and quality

  • You will monitor, track and report on progress to ensure the success of client launches (ownership of release metrics and reporting)

  • Conduct release readiness reviews and launch post-mortems

  • Actively communicate launch details and schedules to the organization as required

  • Host meetings to discuss release schedule, scope and/or roadblocks

  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships, coordinating tasks between multiple teams

  • Strive for continuous improvements in the release process

Key Proficiencies:

Requirements:

  • Degree in computer science or business

  • 2-6 years of previous release and/or project management experience, (proven understanding of project management principles preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion

  • Effective leadership and analytical skills
