Rally Health is all about putting health in the hands of the individual. It’s our mission, and it drives everything we do, which is to empower people with easy-to-use online and mobile tools that help them take charge of their health and health care, from improving their diet and fitness to selecting health benefits, and choosing the right doctor at the right price for their needs.

Our culture is built on a deep and sincere dedication to helping people live healthier lives. To do this, we are committed to innovating continuously at every level. We know that some of the things we do are not going to work, and that’s okay. We’re not trying to build something that is churn and burn. We’re building something that supports people over their lifetime. As Rally Health founder and CEO Grant Verstandig says, “We get to do amazing work every day that directly impacts the lives of millions of people for the better.”

The Sr. Internal Communications Manager will guide the planning, development and execution of high-impact, strategic internal communications that inform and educate Rally Health employees and key internal stakeholders on our strategy, mission, key business achievements, and other important news updates that reinforce Rally Health’s strategic direction and industry leadership. • You'll collaborate with and work across many different areas of the Rally organization, including the Human Capital, Product and Marketing teams, supporting business and executive communications aligned to enterprise business and communications strategies. Partner with the broader UHG and Optum internal communications teams to ensure Rally Health news is being distributed as appropriate within the UHG organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high-level leaders and peers, and quickly become established as a 'go-to' partner for communications strategy and execution that delivers on the short and long-term goals of the enterprise.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, with 6+ years of internal communications experience, preferably within a large, matrixed organization.

  • Experience planning and executing all-employee meetings.
  • 4+ years experience leading change communication efforts across different parts of an organization.
  • Thrive and move seamlessly through a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • An extraordinary verbal and written communicator, with the ability to independently craft communications for both broad employee and C-suite level audiences.
  • Strong project management skills - adept at closing loops, connecting dots, spinning plates and preventing balls from dropping.
  • A collaborative, consultative disposition, an uncompromising eye for quality, comfort with change, resourcefulness, creative problem-solving, multi-tasking skills and flexibility.
  • A quick learner who effectively engages with leadership, rapidly establishes rapport, and flexes to changing demands.
  • Ability to effectively process and understand complex situations and technical subjects, and translate them clearly in layperson's terms.
  • A track record of successfully measuring the effectiveness of programs, and applying those insights to make continuous improvements.
  • Working knowledge of the full suite of MS Office and Google applications.
