Senior Manager Fully Insured Activation

The Senior Manager will support the Sr. Director of Fully Insured Activation with development and implementation of the Real Appeal Fully Insured strategy in support of UnitedHealthcare. In this role you will lead strategic engagement initiatives, sales enablement and B2B marketing tactics and will collaborate with key business executives and partners to meet aggressive projections for the fully insured book of business. This position will require occasional travel.


  • You will develop and execute the B2B marketing/communication plans
  • Direct and run internal communication program(s) - i.e., distribution of monthly newsletters, broker articles, online articles and other channels as identified
  • Communicate updates on product and/or marketing updates to the account management and sales teams as appropriate
  • Oversee and maintain collateral in support of B2B campaigns
  • Develop partnerships with the UnitedHealthcare “Go to Market” team
  • Manage end to end monthly webinar “Info Session” program (scheduling, content development, reporting, evaluation, etc.)
  • Work with Rally and UnitedHealthcare marketing teams to deploy customer-facing campaigns through various modalities
  • Forecast and track KPI’s (key performance indicators) for a myriad of activation tactics that will populate the weekly “Fully Insured Activation Dashboard.” The dashboard will track progress for all activity outlined in the broader activation strategy
  • Perform the day to day project management (PM support and creation of project plans for each activation tactic requiring execution).
  • Drive large activation projects to completion (e.g., Top Customer, Retail Pharmacy referral outlet, etc.)
  • Handle issue resolution and follow up as it pertains to organizational and customer reporting, eligibility issues, questions from account management teams, etc.
  • Travel to onsite events and representing Real Appeal at customer/broker/account management team functions
  • Support event management coordination – fulfillment, inventory management, orchestration, reporting and evaluation (measuring success).
  • Develop relationships with UnitedHealthcare physician advocates (Identify how best to support this team to drive Real Appeal activation)
  • Design marketing strategies at the local and regional health plan level
  • Create and execute Real Appeal-sponsored pilots, community events, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned


  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in healthcare, marketing or business)
  • You have 5+ years of healthcare experience required (health plan experience preferred)
  • You have proven experience in professional sales, marketing or account management (or relevant role)
  • You have delivered client-focused solutions (to customer needs)
  • You are fluent with Microsoft Suite of Products (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Some experience with Google products is preferred
  • You have strong leadership skills and ability to navigate complex organizational landscapes
  • You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills – ability to communicate in a polite, diplomatic & friendly manner
  • You have excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • You have the creativity to generate ideas and solve problems as they arise
  • You can demonstrate presentation abilities
  • You can prioritize and handle multiple projects at once
