Responsibilities:

As Senior Accountant you will work under our Accounting Manager using your accounting expertise to provide support across Rally. You will need to have an understanding of financial reporting and general ledger requirements in general. In this role, we need you to:

  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close by preparing and entering journal entries, preparing monthly reconciliations for balance sheet and P&L, and preparing monthly variance analysis
  • Review and record inter-company transactions and ensure all items properly eliminate.
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features/systems, especially in light of experience with other ERP processes, to enhance the workflow of the department and gain efficiencies.
  • Assist with property, sales and use tax, franchise tax and other business related returns.
  • Support the department with special accounting projects, process improvements, and ad hoc requests.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • CPA highly preferred.
  • Experience with an ERP system preferred.
  • 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience in at least mid-sized to large companies.
  • Strong Excel and database skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • NetSuite experience helpful
  • Great team player with ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.
