As our Senior Manager, Accounting you will use your technical accounting expertise to provide support across Rally. You will need to have a deep understanding of financial reporting and general ledger requirements in general. In this role, we need you to:

  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close by preparing/entering/approving journal entries, preparing/reviewing monthly reconciliations for balance sheet and P&L, and preparing/reviewing monthly variance analysis
  • Lead the bi-weekly payroll process by supervising and reviewing payroll as well as ensuring all payroll related journal entries are included in NetSuite, the accounting software.
  • Assist in any updates to NetSuite by participating in UAT and logging items for remediation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features/systems, especially in light of experience with other ERP processes, to enhance the workflow of the department and gain efficiencies.
  • Assist with property, sales and use tax, franchise tax, and other business-related tax returns.
  • Review and record intercompany transactions and ensure all items properly eliminate.
  • Act as accounting lead on 401K audits and partner with HR on benefit and other items affecting payroll.
  • Support Controller with special accounting projects and process improvements. 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA 
  • 7+ years general ledger accounting experience 
  • Strong technical accounting background
  • Strong Excel and database skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Great teammate with the ability to work independently a must
  • Ability to work in details and also see the big picture
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization 
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred but not required
