Senior Project Manager

Here's a look at the day-to-day role:

  • Manage the agile scrum process across the Product/Feature Development Process for multiple project teams
  • In partnership with Product Owner, establishes agenda and facilitates kickoff new project teams, quarterly roadmap pillar reviews, and town halls
  • Establishes all project artifacts using PMO templates and checklists
  • Accountable to ensure the program-level decomposition and sequencing of work across multiple delivery teams is complete, including the definition of cross product team / third party dependencies
  • Works with team to size stories/requirements building a reliable team velocity that enables the team to build the estimation skill-set
  • Establishes project plans that include key milestones, release dates of cross product team / third party dependencies
  • Proactively addresses delivery team issues, resolves blockers
  • Tracks and Reports on all sprint efficiency metrics; documents best practices and actionable observations; monitors heath of sprint
  • Transitions feature to UAT and actively supports progress
  • Works with fellow project managers to ensure key releases containing dependencies are on track
  • Ensures the timely onboarding of new project team members (internal/external)
  • Conduct Retrospective at the sprint level to drive continuous improvement
  • Maintains any Project Management documents posted to the wiki; archive when required
  • May perform Pillar Lead support functions specific to Roadmap Cadence and Capacity Planning
  • Works with tech/product leaders to establish project structure in Jira

Here's what you'll need:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software development team or project management
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent experience with agile development methodologies
  • You are pro-active, willing to identify disorganization and bring the right partners together to drive clarity of purpose
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strives when working as part of a dynamic team
  • Prioritizes typical job responsibilities in conjunction with ad hoc requests and team improvements
  • Develops strong relationships built on mutual respect and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Experience working with a Product and Engineering organizations
  • Experience managing Kanban, Scrum, and other project types
  • Experience working with Atlassian’s JIRA, Confluence, and Google Apps
  • Experience within a SaaS environment that operates with continuous delivery
  • Start-up/entrepreneurial experience
