We offer paid internships to new grads and any students who will graduate with a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree within two years. Positions are available in Washington, DC, Chicago, IL, Minneapolis, MN and San Francisco, CA.


  • You have a passion in developing highly scalable and performant web applications that are designed for a user experience
  • You want to become a Play web framework expert using Scala
  • You love designing and shipping REST APIs for other developers
  • You like building cutting-edge user interfaces using AngularJS
  • Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with a compiled language like Scala, Java, or C#
  • Design experience, including knowledge of common design patterns and relevant libraries
  • Familiarity with Scala or a strong interest to learn
  • Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL database concepts (bonus points for both!)
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs
  • Great collaborator and team player
  • Results oriented and focused on delivering on time and with quality

And for bonus points:

  • Hands-on experience using Scala with the Playframework
  • You have some understanding of the ins and outs of document design with MongoDB or relational database design with PostgreSQL
