Rally Health is looking for an expert attorney to serve as a partner for our technology and operational teams; support corporate transactions, strategic initiatives, and governance; and help with, IP, healthcare regulatory, and data privacy issues. You will be intellectually nimble and self-motivated, serving as a jack-of-all-trades for our fast-growing company. Prior experience with healthcare and technology issues and startups, while not necessary, is a bonus.


  • You will work in Rally Health's dynamic Legal and Business Affairs department, directly advising our experienced and high-energy business and engineering teams in the Washington, DC, San Francisco, and Chicago offices.
  • You will be an integral part of Rally Health's growing Legal and Business Affairs department, supporting key business teams that are directly responsible for revenue generation, product development, marketing, technology, operations and human resources
  • Counseling on a wide range of issues -- including compliance, dispute resolution and risk management, IP, healthcare regulatory, data privacy, patent, trademark and copyright issues
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest healthcare (e.g., Medicare, Affordable Care Act, HIPAA), consumer protection and advertising law
  • Partnering with and supporting the business in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating term sheets and agreements with Rally Health's business partners
  • Working closely with business leaders to define and execute company strategy
  • Supporting the company's rapid growth
  • Retaining and handling outside counsel (when necessary) in a cost-effective manner to support the business


  • JD
  • At least 5 years experience practicing at a major law firm, in-house, or both
  • In-house experience a plus
  • Ability to juggle multiple, time-sensitive projects
  • Common sense and strong judgment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a collaborator and teacher as opposed to a person giving directives
  • Enthusiasm for Rally Health’s mission to help transform the healthcare industry
  • A sense of humor is a requirement
