You will use your knowledge of how users make decisions and pair it with our rich dataset to craft a personalized recommendation of the best health interventions for each user. You'll be empowered to mine our data which includes user interactions, activity, and achievements in our wellness product; lifestyle and health status from our comprehensive health assessment survey; search terms when seeking care; and direct health information such as biometrics, medical, and pharmaceutical claims. Your skill at using diverse data sources will enable us to tailor our health and wellness products to each user, enabling them to be and feel healthier.

  • Lead the design and development of a recommendation system that provides a tailored set of health programs that meets each users' needs.
  • Analyze our various datasets to understand Rally user behavior and how we can consistently engage with them in meaningful ways.
  • Sharpen our data science capacity by mentoring team members on building predictive models, experimental methodologies, and causal inference approaches.
  • Seek opportunities to improve our data and data science platform to achieve better recommendations, healthier individuals, and closer alignment of Rally's vision.
  • Tell clear and effective stories with data and show how our features lead to better outcomes at all level of the business.
  • Develop and build relationships with product management and engineering teams to effectively serve our users' needs.


  • 3-5 years experience building recommendation systems in production.
  • Experience using machine learning to power high impact customer-facing features.
  • Confident and curious self-starter who sees opportunities to use data in creative ways and acts on it.
  • Communicates well, with and without data, paired with a dedication to understand user problems and technical challenges.
  • Experience building machine learning powered applications with Spark, MLlib, H2O, TensorFlow, or other modern libraries.
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
