Software Engineer in Test, Mobile

Position Summary:

Rally is looking for a strong Mobile Software Engineer in Test to join our high-performance QA team in our journey to help everyone simplify and personalize healthcare experience.

QA Mobile Team is responsible for testing native applications on iOS and Android. We’re looking for a self-motivated Software Engineer in Test to drive testing and automation of our Native apps, collaborating closely with product management, design, and product development teams.



  • Own testing of new features for iOS, and Android apps
  • Help build a world class automation infrastructure for mobile automation
  • Write automated test scripts for new and existing features
  • Convert user stories and requirements to test cases
  • Assist in manual testing during releases
  • Perform exploratory testing to find edge case bugs
  • Own the overall quality of the product and communicate quality through metrics
  • Support other types of quality targets such as performance testing
  • Ability to improve QA efficiency using new tools and processes
  • Ability to debug, triage test failures and review log files


  • BS in Computer Science or similar field of study
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a quality engineering role
  • Minimum 2 years of experience writing, developing, and executing automated test scripts
  • Proven track record of testing & shipping quality mobile iOS or Android applications
  • Experience with writing automated tests for a mobile product using frameworks like Appium and leveraging simulators for testing mobile applications
  • Proficiency with JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.
  • Good knowledge of JSON, XML
  • Good knowledge in API testing automation
  • Experience with Github, continuous integration and deployment tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and SDLC process
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Linux commands and experience with Docker
