Technical Communication Coordinator/Writer

Rally Health ( is looking for a technical writer with project management skills. Can you translate technical project details into business speak as well as client speak?  Do you enjoy helping really smart product managers, project managers, and software engineers work more efficiently? Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Focusing roughly 60% of the time on creating business user-facing application documentation, and 40% on process documentation
  • Working directly with the product team to elicit documentation content and status in support of product releases.
  • Applying Rally style to business and client communications to ensure all communications  (e.g., forms, user and training guides, etc.) are both professional and consistent with corporate identity; contributing to the evolution of Rally style.
  • Gathering, consolidating, and maintaining information on how we onboard clients.
  • Helping develop, articulate and communicate overall goals and deliverables.
  • Supporting the overall Rally Tool Kit as it expands.

Here's what you need:

  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in technical communication
  • Experience performing process analysis and requirements elicitation as an aspect of technical communication
  • Experience writing user guides with demonstrated experience interacting with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • 3-4 samples of technical writing--a business process, a policy, a technical procedure, etc.

And for bonus points:

  • Experience working with Atlassian’s JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience working with agile or scrum projects
  • Fast-paced, dynamic environments
